On July 31st, we will hear from accounting wizard Wayne Richard of Bean Ninjas. Most of us are happy in our small businesses but 3/4 of us are likely to fail and the main reason is due to cash flow problems. Knowing how to tell the right story from your business numbers can help you tell a better story. With a happier ending.
Wayne is a sought after small business finance expert who fully believes in the power of story and numbers to inspire, educate and transform businesses.
With 16 years of corporate finance and consulting experience working with Hewlett Packard under his belt, Wayne possesses strong financial acumen, team leadership, plus broad experience and working knowledge within numerous financial systems and processes.
As Partner and Director of Global Operations at Bean Ninjas, Wayne's mission is to lead his distributed team to create time, location & financial freedom for small businesses entrepreneurs, so they can focus on the stuff that really matters.
Just a few short years ago, Jon and his wife Amanda took over Proof Bread, a local favorite bakery. They grew it from small beginnings to a business that sells out of inventory almost every weekend at four markets across the valley. Their vast market experience and growth is sure to bring inspiration to any vendor, seasoned or brand new.
Scott and Christie were novices to the market scene until just early this year. Over the past seven months they have grown exclusively at Mesa Farmers Market and Flea from being the new guys on the block, to a standout vendor with many weekly returning customers, and a connection with community that can’t be beat.
Together, Jon, Scott and Christie will teach us about how to execute events and make the most of your time while participating as a vendor at local markets.
On August 27th we will hear from our own market and social media manager, Breann Bowman. Breann started out her days on Instagram with just an iPhone and a desire to take beautiful photos. She grew from an amateur to a photographer well-versed in taking great images for businesses and helping them look their absolute best on social media. Breann has worked with several local businesses such as Lifetime Leather Co. and her husband’s business, Simple Soda Co. Breann will cover photography basics as well as an intro to utilizing Instagram and Facebook to your business’ advantage.
